About RobotMatchup

Specifications are taken from manufacturer-published sources: the maker's own product page, spec sheet, or manual. Nothing is copied from retailer listings, aggregator sites, or other comparison sites, because those introduce errors we cannot trace back.

When a manufacturer does not publish a figure, the cell reads Not published. We do not estimate it, infer it from a similar model, or average the category. A visible gap is information: it tells you the maker chose not to state that number.

Prices shown are manufacturer list prices where the manufacturer publishes one, re-checked weekly on the manufacturer's own page and stamped with the date they were last confirmed. Street prices at retailers differ and are not tracked. Every model also carries a plain availability status — Buy now, Preorder, Announced or Discontinued — because a large share of the robots people research cannot actually be bought today.

RobotMatchup does not physically test products. No ranking, ordering or highlight anywhere on this site reflects hands-on use. Buying guide rankings are derived arithmetically from manufacturer-published figures, and each guide states which figures it ranked on. There are no scores invented by us, no awards, and no "our experts tested" claims — because that would not be true.
