Best robot vacuums 2026, ranked by published specs
Ranking methodology
Ranked by manufacturer-published data only — suction, battery runtime, onboard dustbin — with models missing those figures ranked last. RobotMatchup has not physically tested these units and no position here reflects hands-on use.
Suction in pascals is the figure every maker publishes, but it is measured differently from brand to brand, so we never rank on it alone: it is weighed alongside published battery runtime and onboard dustbin volume. Mopping and self-emptying docks are shown in the side-by-side table wherever the maker publishes them, so vacuum-only and vacuum-and-mop models sit on one page.

Vacuum and mop combos
Most current robot vacuums also mop, and this guide covers both on one page rather than splitting them. Where a maker publishes a mopping function, the Mopping column in the side-by-side table reads Yes; if you need one machine for carpets and hard floors, prefer those rows and then check the model page for whether the mop lifts on carpet.
Self-emptying is recorded the same way. A published self-empty dock means the robot empties its onboard bin into a bag in the base, so the onboard dustbin figure matters less on those rows than on models you empty by hand.
Frequently asked questions
- Does a higher Pa suction figure mean a better robot vacuum?
- Not by itself. Pascal ratings are measured by each manufacturer in its own way and at its own chosen power mode, so they are only roughly comparable between brands. That is why this ranking weighs suction alongside published runtime and dustbin volume.
- Does this guide include vacuum and mop combos?
- Yes. Vacuum-only and vacuum-and-mop models are ranked together. Where the maker publishes a mopping function, the Mopping column in the side-by-side table reads Yes, so buyers who need both can prefer those rows.
- Did RobotMatchup test these robot vacuums?
- No. The order comes only from manufacturer-published figures. We have not used or tested any unit, and no position here reflects hands-on cleaning performance.
- Why do some models show Not published?
- Because the maker has not stated that figure. We never estimate or borrow numbers from similar models, and models missing a ranking figure are placed below models that publish it.
